IMANI’S 2014 RECAP

Guess who’s week late with a recap, this girl, welp…

There’s a few memorable moments that I would like to share with you all. So you can consider this a mini wrap up of last year. I’m pretty sure we can all vouch for these memories and then some so here goes nothing…

1.Protesting against police brutality and other forms of unjustly predicaments.

First off, peace and blessings to those that have fallen victim to police KILLINGS. I guess as a young adult I can see for myself and understand what my parents have been warning me about when I was younger. It has been going on for decades and it’s becoming far too frequent. On the plus side, now n’ days it’s easier to spread awareness and to get the word out. I’m proud for everyone that have said their peace and joined together as a unit to fight for what’s right because if we don’t speak up, who will?

2. Excessive Contouring

Don’t get me wrong, make-up is cool in many ways. There’s a fantasy factor that goes on where you go from looking like everyday fab to some magical shit because of eyeshadow, lipsticks and all that good stuff. Last year I’ve seen a lot of unnecessary contouring. Contouring that I would only see drag queens do because well, they’re men dressing and performing as women. It became extreme to me when I seen women contour their tata’s and collarbone. Like, why do we fish for perfection? Ehh, to each its own. Continue Reading
