I adore fall fashion! While I love the boots, coats, and big ass hats, what I really live for is all the fab, vampy beauty looks! As soon as I see the first leaf fall from a tree, I’m the first girl reaching for her bottle of Wicked by Essie (which is unequivocally the best vampy red, hands down).
However, this fall, something changed. I think…I’m kind of over the typical blood-red nail polish. HEAR ME OUT: I do 100% love how glam a shiny burgundy looks, but it’s kind of expected. And the last thing we want is to be predictable, right? With that being said, here are my five favorite non-traditional nail polishes for the fall.
Dusty Rose: I am absolutely in L-O-V-E with this polish. So in love with this polish, that as soon as I was done getting my nails done, I ran out to get it. Eternal Optimist by Essie is a dusty rose color, which is like the fall version of blush. It’s very flattering & works well with all skin colors.
Burnt orange: Okay this one might not be ~non-traditional~, but man, I adore this burnt orange/pumpkin spice color! “It’s A Pizza cake!” by OPI reminds me of my favorite BWG (basic white girl) drink of the season, a Pumpkin Spice Latte. I’ve never been so pressed over a color, I went to FIVE different stores to get it, it’s been sold out everywhere!
Brown: Again, not super unexpected but this time it’s about the shade of brown. Instead of one that’s so dark you can’t tell if it’s dark red or black, get a nice, true mid-tone brown. I love this cheap one (only $1!) called “Brownstone” by NYC because it’s like, “Oh hey, I’m a little cup of cocoa on your nails, don’t mind me”-esque.
Nude: This is my go-to shade year ‘round but this particular nude is special because its opaque, instead of the typical sheer french manicure nudes. Another Cheapie, this time by Sally Hansen in “Bare it All”.
An Unexpected Green: What a vague title, I know. But this Butter London polish is totally unique. “Two Finger Salute” is a muted pale green cream polish with a micro copper glitter. I’m almost 100% positive there’s no dupe for it and I’m beyond happy that I was able to snag this normally $15 polish on sale for $4!
Try a new polish out this weekend! I know come Saturday I’ll be primped and polished in one of these babies!
