Ever since I was a young tot, haha, “tot” I was always intrigued and frighted by the underwater creature on Super Mario 64. Not that shitty disgrace of an eel, which took me forever to get around for that star. But, the monster that depicts Scotland’s beloved hidden treasure known as the Loch Ness Monster. One nicknamed “Dorrie” and the other “Nessie”. Every time I would find myself underneath the body of Dorrie I would hold my breath. I was terrified Continue Reading
As I do my usual scroll down my twitter timeline yesterday morning I notice something that kinda stuck out a bit. It had been introduced that Miles Morales, the young, black hispanic Spider-man, was being introduced into the all new, revamped Avengers roster. While most of us are familiar with the kid, this will most definitely propel him further into the spotlight as one of the more popular black super heroes of our time… This realization sent me on a mental journey filled with childhood memories and moments that resurfaced and I thought to myself about all the black super heroes and villains I’ve come across. The strongest, the fastest, the smartest, the first, just about everything went through my mind and honestly felt as if comic books, at least some of the major publications, have tried to be as progress as possible. Adding on Marvel taking control of its movie franchise has cemented that it’ll seep over into film. Black Panther for starters. But this is just a dedication to a couple of the most beloved black heroes that have floated past a young 90’s kids pupils. Continue Reading
Lately I can admit that I’ve been in a funk. I have my super awesome joyous moments and then whateverthefuck bothers me and boom, I’m killing the kindness that naturally resonates within me. Not saying that I’m becoming a Grouch of some sort I just despise my energy being drained.
I’m also watching the game so I may seem distracted throughout this post.
My attitude definitely needs an adjustment and with that being said I find myself making necessary changes in my life. Last year I’ve built a solid foundation and I want to focus on what’s important for the now & later. I’ve hesitated and missed out on opportunities which I refuse to do this year. “BEKUZ” NIGGAS HAVE GOALS TO ACCOMPLISH. And what I’ve noticed lately is that I allow people to guilt me and take advantage of my kind ways (sometimes). It’s a distraction. So, I have distractions, my retail gig and my blog going ape shit in my mental. Therefore my focus is now fucked and I’m more so care-less than care-free. Continue Reading
Two days ago Nancy Grace decided to take yet another shot at marijuana usage and invited rapper 2 Chainz to join the debate. Little did she know Tauheed Epps (which is 2 Chainz real name) brought his A game along with facts and owned the debate #TRUU. The full interview is below and from my point of view what is being shown below is obviously opinion vs. fact.
I think what’s crazy about debates such as this is that someone is always playing the blame game and brings in the tender “what if it was your child” argument. Even with the legendary Bill O’ Rielly vs. Cam’ron & Dame Dash interview fingers were being pointed when the REAL issue is home-grown. Continue Reading
I don’t remember a gotdamn thing about 2014. I smoked way too much I worked too many hours but a couple things stuck out to me.
One of the most pivotal series to my growth and development as a human being has resurfaced. The Star Wars series is without a doubt my favorite. Films, television series, games you name it I’ve dabbled in it. We all know that a new film is set to be released in the year of our lord (Lord Vader) 2015, but what most people and large number of fans don’t know is due to the purchase of Lucas Arts by Disney much of the continuity outside of the major films was removed from canon and placed inside a sort of “what if” universe. This means that all of the Star Wars extended universe literature, video games, television series are not apart of the timeline. Galen Marek and the start of the rebel alliance? nope. Darth Raven and the Mandelorian war? noap. Luke Skywalkers children and marriage to Maria Jade? Noap. This isn’t a bad thing all around because some of the Extended Universe is just plain insane like how one Luke Skywalkers children is trained by a puppy like alien in the ways of the force. You can’t make this shit up. As for the new film I was pleased to hear that many of the key roles are held by african americans since it often seems like we aren’t allowed in the murky and diverse waters of sci-fi and fantasy. Lupita Nyon’g and John Boyega are among the epic space operas cast with John Boyega being one of the first faces seen in the trailer. Look out for Star Wars: The Force Awakens December 18th Continue Reading
With all the uproar going on, both in the streets on the internet, a young man decided to voice his concerns via mic. Kaylen Ivory best know as Detroit Kulture decided to put his gift to work in his single BROTHERS featuring Masia May. Who are both from the westside of Detroit. As sensitive as the topics may be it’s something we can all relate to and I love to see young people especially give their two cents from all around.

Guess who’s week late with a recap, this girl, welp…
There’s a few memorable moments that I would like to share with you all. So you can consider this a mini wrap up of last year. I’m pretty sure we can all vouch for these memories and then some so here goes nothing…
1.Protesting against police brutality and other forms of unjustly predicaments.
First off, peace and blessings to those that have fallen victim to police KILLINGS. I guess as a young adult I can see for myself and understand what my parents have been warning me about when I was younger. It has been going on for decades and it’s becoming far too frequent. On the plus side, now n’ days it’s easier to spread awareness and to get the word out. I’m proud for everyone that have said their peace and joined together as a unit to fight for what’s right because if we don’t speak up, who will?
2. Excessive Contouring
Don’t get me wrong, make-up is cool in many ways. There’s a fantasy factor that goes on where you go from looking like everyday fab to some magical shit because of eyeshadow, lipsticks and all that good stuff. Last year I’ve seen a lot of unnecessary contouring. Contouring that I would only see drag queens do because well, they’re men dressing and performing as women. It became extreme to me when I seen women contour their tata’s and collarbone. Like, why do we fish for perfection? Ehh, to each its own. Continue Reading
